Meta Access
My Meta account requires second admin approval
Second admin approval, is a security safeguard in Meta Business Portfolios designed to prevent unauthorized changes by requiring a second administrator to approve sensitive actions, including adding users with full control or sharing permissions to an Ad Account with an external partner.
If you get an error message: you may not have sufficient access to complete the app update. Please ask a person who has “Account Owner” or “Store Owner” permissions to perform the installation.
You can check permissions by going to your Shopify Store and clicking on “Settings” (lower left corner) and then clicking on “Users and Permissions”. You will see an “Account Owner” or “Store Owner” tag associated with user names or emails.”
- Who needs to approve? Another person who has full control (admin access) of the business portfolio must review and approve the request.
- Where to find the request? The other admin needs to go to Settings > Requests > Frequently used requests in Meta Business Suite to find and approve the pending request.
I'm an agency and lack the correct level of Meta access (admin) to approve the access request
If your agency doesn’t have the right level of access to approve a request, you’ll need to reach out to your client directly. A brand representative with admin access will need to review and approve the request, as only admins can approve certain changes. Connecting with the right person on the brand side should help move things forward more smoothly.
