Once your Storefront is live and running, Black Crow’s analytics dashboard shows you how each funnel stage is performing relative to the baseline performance including: Outbound CTR, Add-to-Cart Rate, Checkout Rate, Conversion Rate among other KPIs.
This guide offers quick, no-code tweaks you can make in the Storefront Editor once you’ve diagnosed underperforming areas of your funnel - helping you improve performance without needing dev support.
Note: After making edits, always click Save Changes in the editor for updates to go live. These changes apply immediately, no need to touch the ad or worry about triggering Meta’s learning phase.
🔵 If your Outbound CTR is low (ad → Storefront)
What it means: Your ad creative isn’t compelling enough to drive clicks. This is a pre-click issue.
What to test:
- Refresh ad creative to better match Storefront content
- Align headline, CTA, and tone more closely with your Storefront and selected persona
- Tailor messaging to the audience or campaign objective
Example of Meta ad preview - test alternate headlines or visuals to improve Outbound CTR:
Helpful Tip: If CTR is low, focus on your ad creative first. Storefront optimizations won’t make an impact until people click through.
🟣 If Add-to-Cart Rate is low (Storefront → Add-to-Cart)
What it means: Shoppers are landing but not taking action.
What to test in the Storefront:
- Reorder your Product Grid to feature high-performing SKUs first
- Add urgency or promotional messaging
- Reinforce trust with Reviews or Video Carousels
- Clarify product value with stronger descriptions or visuals
- Also consider moving sections around, eg. moving your product grid above your educational listicle content
Edit and reorder products in the Product Grid to improve merchandising:
Try these sections in the editor:
- Product Grid
- Upsell Box or Cart Upsell refresh
- Reviews Section
- Video Carousel
- Rich Text for product highlights or FAQs
🟡 If Checkout or Conversion Rate is low (post-cart → purchase)
What it means: Shoppers are adding to cart but not completing their purchase.
Note: Black Crow Storefronts redirect users to Shopify’s native checkout. While we don’t control that step, you can influence purchase intent within the Storefront.
What to test in the Storefront:
- Add discount offers or promotional banners
- Reinforce value: customer reviews, trust badges, shipping info
Add promo banners and discount codes to encourage completion of the order:
Editor features to try:
- Promotional Settings (banner, discount, %/$ off)
- Reviews Section
- Rich Text or Accordion for common concerns (returns, shipping, etc.)
🧪 Additional Testing Strategies
Try new templates:
You're not limited to just editing a single Storefront. If performance is not hitting the mark, create a new one and test it via a multi-destination link. Try Listicles, Shoppable Video, Gift Guides, Last Chance templates, or any other layout from our template library. These Storefronts can be launched in minutes - don’t be afraid to experiment.
🔀 Multi-Destination Testing (A/B or A/B/C)
Want to compare multiple Storefront experiences from the same ad? Use Black Crow’s Multi-Destination Link feature to test variations without duplicating campaigns or touching your ad setup.
How it works:
- Build 2+ Storefronts
- Navigate to Link Management and either:
- Create a new Multi-Destination Link and select the Storefront variants you want to test
- Navigate to or search for the Storefront you want to improve in Link Management and add a new Storefront variant. This will update it to a Multi-Destination Link - meaning you don’t have to change anything in your Meta ad. We will automatically split the traffic in the backend.
- Monitor results in the Black Crow Analytics dashboard
You can test:
Any combination of the tweaks mentioned above: layout, messaging, merchandising, copy, video — as long as they’re applied to separate Storefront variants.
Next Steps
As data comes in, monitor your funnel performance in the dashboard. If you're seeing drop-offs at any stage, revisit this guide and make the recommended changes directly in your Storefront Editor.
