Getting Started & Setup
Do I need technical skills to use Storefronts?
No. Storefronts are fully no-code and require no design or development experience. Once your ad account and product catalog are connected, the platform uses AI to generate Storefronts automatically. You can launch quickly or customize using our visual builder.
How long does it take to create a Storefront?
Storefronts can be created in under two minutes. The system auto-generates versions based on your ad creative, persona, and product selection. You can publish immediately or further edit in the no-code builder.
How do I use a Storefront in Meta?
After creating a Storefront, click “Copy Ad Destination URL”. Copy that URL (which includes pre-configured UTM parameters) and paste it into the destination URL field of your Meta ad.
Can I make changes to a Storefront after I’ve added the URL to my Meta ad?
Yes. You can make changes to the Storefront at any time. Once you publish the changes, they will go live immediately without requiring edits to the Meta ad. This does not trigger the ad to re-enter the learning phase.
How do I set up tracking pixels?
Navigate to the “Tracking Pixels” section in the left-hand menu. Add any relevant platform pixels (Meta, GA, etc.) to ensure key events such as page views, add to cart, and checkout are accurately tracked.
Can I customize Storefront branding?
Yes. You can customize colors, fonts, and layout to match your brand’s style so Storefronts look and feel native to your site.
How do I share a preview with a client or partner?
Navigate to the Storefront you’d like to preview, click “Preview,” and select “Preview in New Tab” for a mobile-friendly view. Share that URL directly with your client or partner.
Functionality & Use Cases
What exactly is a post-click experience?
A post-click experience is what happens after a user clicks an ad. Instead of a generic PDP or homepage, Black Crow generates a Storefront tailored to the ad’s message, creative, and audience. These Storefronts are fully shoppable environments that guide users through product exploration and purchase — all without needing to leave the page.
What's the quickest way to get live with a Black Crow Storefront?
The quickest way to get live with a Black Crow Storefront is to navigate to the homepage of your Black Crow Platform and review the opportunity cards. These opportunity cards will highlight those current ads you have active that are underperforming from a post-click standpoint, meaning their Add to Cart Rate, Checkout Rate, and Conversion Rate are likely lower than the baseline of the account. Through this approach, you can easily select the underperforming ad using the call to action button, and we will build out you out a Storefront that is unique to that exact ad to improve your post-click experience. Black Crow Storefronts work with all ads, whether new ads or existing ads but this is typically a great place to start.
Another approach is to review your active ads by clicking the "Create with AI" button in your Black Crow platform. This will show you all ads in the ad account that are currently published or in draft. You can narrow down to specific campaigns, ad sets, or statuses, and select the specific ad that you would like to launch a Storefront on.
Will Storefronts work with my existing campaigns?
Yes. Storefronts are compatible with any ad platform (Meta, TikTok, Google, etc.) and require no changes to your targeting or structure. Simply replace the destination URL with a Storefront URL.
How do Storefronts adapt to different ads?
Storefronts analyze your ad creative, copy, and audience context to generate a matching experience — from layout and messaging to featured products. This alignment improves engagement and conversion.
Should I treat Storefront-powered ads the same as core site ads?
Yes. Use the same best practices for budgeting, bidding, and audience setup. The key difference is that you can now optimize the post-click experience independently based on where users drop off — such as re-merchandising or adjusting promotions. All without the need for development support.
Are Storefronts fast loading?
Yes. Storefronts are mobile-optimized and hosted via Shopify’s App Proxy, which avoids unnecessary theme code. This results in fast load times and a smoother user journey.
Why are Storefronts better than traditional landing page tools?
Traditional landing pages are often rigid and disconnected from your ad creative. Storefronts solve this by:
- Matching the ad’s message, visuals, and offer
- Being fully shoppable and dynamic
- Requiring no dev work to launch or iterate
- Supporting rapid testing and optimization
What are personas and how are they generated?
Personas can be managed through the Personas tab in the navigation bar. These personas are generated using Black Crow’s AI, which analyzes a variety of signals — including Shopify purchase history, your Meta audience targeting, ad copy and tone, website content, and broader insights about your brand and competitors.
The result is a set of customer personas that represent distinct customer segments. These can be edited at any time within the platform. Personas don’t need to match your Meta targeting one-to-one; they are used to guide our AI in generating content that’s tailored to specific customer cohorts.
You can also create new personas manually based on your own customer insights.
Testing & Optimization
How do I track Storefront performance?
Storefront performance can be tracked via the Black Crow Analytics dashboard. You’ll see Add-to-Cart Rate, Checkout Rate, and Conversion Rate at the Storefront level. You can also compare performance to your core site.
On our analytics page, you can also review how your Storefronts are performing compared to the baseline metrics for the ad set in which they are housed. This gives you a good view of which parts of the funnel are doing great, and which parts might need more improvements. Whether that's updating different sections or launching new Storefronts, you can do that all within just a few minutes.
What are some common tweaks to make to Storefronts to improve performance?
There are several effective tweaks you can make to improve Storefront performance, though the right changes will vary by brand. We strongly encourage testing and iteration using multi-destination links to identify what resonates best with your audience.
Some common adjustments include:
- Re-merchandising the product layout
- Adding or reordering content sections
- Updating banners or promotional messaging
The key is to review Storefront analytics to identify where users are dropping off, then make changes that enhance the post-click experience in those specific areas.
What are multi-destination links?
These are smart links that split traffic between multiple URLs. You can use them to test different Storefront versions or compare performance against your core site — all without duplicating ads. The idea here is to create one ad and have it split between multiple destinations.
How does A/B testing work?
You can run A/B tests using Black Crow’s multi-destination link tool, which splits traffic between two or more destinations — for example, two different Storefronts, or a Storefront versus your PDP. Performance metrics for each experience are tracked in one unified analytics view.
Many partners use this feature to:
- Launch new ad creative with flexibility to update destinations on the fly
- Test different versions of Storefronts without resetting Meta’s learning phase
- Rapidly evaluate which messaging, layouts, templates, or audiences perform best
Multi-destination links allow you to run structured tests without duplicating ads — simply create one ad and direct it to multiple destinations simultaneously.
Can I run A/B/C tests using multi-destination links?
Yes. You can include multiple destinations in a single multi-destination link and split traffic across them evenly. This allows you to test multiple layouts or versions from one Meta ad. Keep in mind that more variants require more traffic to reach statistical significance.
When should I start tweaking a Storefront?
Wait at least 7 days after going live. This allows Meta’s learning phase to complete and ensures ad delivery is stable before analyzing post-click performance. From there, you can review where in the funnel users are dropping off, make improvements to that Storefront, publish those improvements, and then await more performance data to arrive before making more tweaks.
Will my ad re-enter learning if I update a Storefront?
No. Edits made in the Storefront platform do not trigger learning phase resets, as long as the ad and its destination URL remain unchanged.
Are Storefronts indexed by Google?
Yes.
