Black Crow AI's Email and SMS storefronts can contain a section called the Personalized Product Grid. This uses the identity of the shopper indicated by the eventId or pEventId URL parameter and shows relevant products from the shopper's history.
These are present in both the abandonment and welcome storefront templates.
They have 2 different settings:
- Product Source: This can be set to one of the following:
- User's Recently Viewed: The last X products the user viewed (where X is the number set in the next setting) but didn't add to cart or buy before. Or, if there are fewer than X products in this user's history, all the products the user viewed but didn't add to cart or buy before.
- Previously In User's Cart: The last X products the user added to cart (where X is the number set in the next setting) but buy before (regardless of whether or not they're still in the user's cart). Or, if there are fewer than X products in this user's history, all the products the user added to cart but didn't buy before.
- User's Previously Purchased: The last X products the user bought. Or, if there are fewer than X products in this user's history, all the products the user bought.
- Maximum Products (1-10): What's the maximum number of products you want shown in this product grid. Must be between 1 and 10. Default value is 4.
What should I do if there are products that I don't want shown in a Personalized Product Grid even if they're in the shopper's relevant history?
If there are certain products you want to guarantee are never shown in the Personalized Product Grid, they must either be:
- Set to the Draft or Archived status in Shopify Admin.
- Or, if they can't be in one of those statuses, you can add this tag to the products you don't want shown via the Shopify Admin: black_crow_do_not_show_in_history
Note: it can take up to 15 minutes after adding the tag before it takes effect in Black Crow storefronts.
